I was born in Ohio and moved with my family to Raleigh, NC in 1988. I graduated from Millbrook High School in 1993. After the birth of my first child and a divorce from her father, I went back to school and graduated from Meredith College with a Social Work Degree in 2000. I am now married with three wonderful girls ages 15, 8, and 5. Ashlee is in 10th grade at West Johnston High school, Abby is a 2nd grader at Cleveland Elementary School and Morgan is at preschool at Morgan’s Gymnastics.
In the process of building a family, I also built my weight right up the scale to 210 lbs. In the winter of 2007, I decided I needed to make a change. For the past 15 years I said I would lose 20 pounds, but never could tackle that demon. I tried every trick in the book and still could not get the scale to move in the right direction.
So January 1, 2008 something changed in my brain. I decided that if I could have 3 children, quit smoking, go through a divorce, and graduate from college while working and taking care of a toddler, I could certainly lose weight.
I began to eat right and exercise on a regular basis. I began to see to weight come off. By the summer of 2008, I was down 25 pounds and my friends and neighbors started asking for help or simply started telling me that I had inspired them to exercise. Over the next few months, I began to realize I would love to help others reach their personal fitness goals.
In March of 2009, I became a certified personal trainer through IFTA and have really felt great joy and accomplishment to see how strong people are. In September of 2009 I became certified through IFTA in group fitness.
Come see me and let me help you achieve your goals.
